Former PwC Senior Partner Stuart Wallace Appointed to Executive Board

Prydis has announced that Non-Executive Chairman, Stuart Wallace, will be commencing a new role as Executive Chairman on 1st October. Stuart’s responsibilities will include delivering on the firm’s ambitious growth plans.

Prior to joining Prydis, Stuart had been Head of Tax at PwC in the Midlands, he also led a major technology-enabled UK-wide digital transformation programme at PwC. He was equally a strategic advisor to a prestigious array of Fortune 500, FTSE 100 and FTSE 350 businesses as well as privately owned, PE-backed and family-run businesses. At PwC, he met Joe Priday, now Managing Director at Prydis, becoming both his line manager and mentor. Stuart took on a Non-Executive Director role at Prydis in 2018 following his retirement from PwC and has supported the business since then in his Non-Executive role and also as an external adviser to the board.

As Executive Chairman, Stuart will drive Prydis’s ambitious growth strategy and will work with the board to drive growth through new business lines, employee engagement and development, and strategic partnership opportunities.

Joe Priday, Managing Director at Prydis, said: “Stuart is a true authority on professional services. His knowledge and expertise have had such a positive impact on the business already. We have big plans for the future to project our annual growth into double digits, breaking out of the traditional organic growth model for firms of our type and pursuing new opportunities. Having Stuart on our Executive Team will help us drive that strategy forward and continue to deliver outstanding results for our clients.”

Stuart Wallace commented: “While Prydis is passionate about leveraging technology and disrupting the market, we also have a very experienced leadership team and talented people with deep specialism in the business. As a result, our approach is a unique blend of experience, innovation and disruption which really appeals to clients.”

Together with his brother Managing Director of Prydis Wealth James Priday, Joe has developed a different approach to professional services, Wealth Performance Management, which integrates accounting, legal and wealth planning expertise within one firm. Holding a breadth of specialist legal, financial and investment knowledge in-house enables Prydis to maximise the performance of their clients’ wealth more effectively, saving time and money on both sides.

Stuart said, “Managing the entirety of an individual’s financial, legal and investment needs under one roof is something I haven’t seen done so successfully before in the scale-up space. We are able to provide a truly seamless service, particularly while handling complex tax positions and alternative investment structures. As Executive Chairman, I look forward to supporting Joe, James and the board to deliver on their growth ambitions and to continue to challenge traditional approaches in professional services.”
