Stuart graduated with a degree in Geography from the University of Edinburgh before joining a major banking group where he qualified and became a member of the Institute of Bankers in Scotland. Gaining wide experience within the banking sector, Stuart worked in Corporate Finance, Commercial Lending and Audit before developing a specialism in Agricultural Finance which led to onto developing Renewable Energy projects. Always an excellent Business Developer, Stuart has worked hard to establish a fruitful professional network of contacts, developing a brokerage team within the Asset Finance sector, creating first class business opportunities across a range of commercial sectors including – agriculture, renewables, food and drink, hospitality and the service sector.
Stuart chose to leave the banking sector in 2008 to establish his own business, developing farm-scale renewable energy projects, primarily within the bio-energy, on-shore wind and hydro sectors. Through these business interests Stuart developed additional professional contacts within the Venture Capital and Private Equity sectors. His experience is much in demand, being invited to take up Non Executive Directorship roles on several boards of early-stage companies, working very closely with founders.
As a Director of Prydis Corporate Advisers, Stuart offers strategic planning, growth and exit strategy planning, mentoring of executive teams, sales and business development activities, as well as reviewing and identifying funding and financing opportunities.
